MAMAN MARIE CHILDREN’S HOME

For three decades, the people of eastern Congo have been subject to unrest. In 2014, rebels went on a random killing spree in Beni and its surrounding villages, leaving in their wake families torn apart and thousands of orphans. In 2019, UNICEF and its partners determined that 1,380 children became new orphans, losing either one or both parents to the Ebola outbreak. Today, more than 3,000 children are orphans in Beni, desperately in need of a home.

The Maman Marie Children’s Home project is therefore being established to come alongside Marie and invest in these children in the Congo, giving them a reason to believe also that they are a gift from God, and that He does have a better plan for their future.
