Humanitarian Crisis in Haiti

While the world has given up on Haiti, a small army of Sisters, led by Sr. Matthias, valiantly hold the family of Kkottongnae together, right in the heart of Haiti’s volatile streets – ONLY by the grace of God!

409 residents – babies, adults, seniors, including those with mental and physical disabilities – all share two commonalities. 1. They were all abandoned and discarded as without value. 2. They have found the peace and security of the Kkottongnae family.

But the Sisters literally do this on faith! Every single morsel of food they find to serve comes from the benevolence of others. For all they have is faith.

You can help keep their cooking pots bubbling with food as they desperately fight to keep the family together.

St. Joseph's Home for the Mentally Challenged

We need a new home to take better care of the many people we bring off the streets to Kkottongnae. Most are suffering from mental illness through abject poverty, disasters and abandonment. There is no space to protect them in this place. Sometimes the men become very violent. So, we need a space to control and assist them.
